- 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground turkey until fully cooked.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake for 20 minutes until bubbling and golden.
