  • 2 bay leaves
  • 6 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the dried beans under cold water until clean. Chop the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic into small pieces.
  2. Add all prepared ingredients—beans, diced ham, chopped vegetables, bay leaves, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley—into the crockpot.
