  • 2 lbs leftover turkey bones (wings, carcasses)
  • 2 medium carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, quartered
  • 6 cloves garlic, whole
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4 sprigs fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 12 cups filtered water

Instructions

  1. Place turkey bones in a large stockpot. Add carrots, celery, onion, and garlic.
  2. Add thyme and parsley; pour in apple cider vinegar.
  3. Cover ingredients with filtered water, leaving an inch of space at the top.
  4. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; then reduce heat to low and simmer for 4 to 12 hours.
  5. Strain the broth through a fine mesh sieve into another pot or bowl; discard solids.
  6. Allow to cool before transferring to airtight containers for storage.
