Description

Tender, slow-cooked beef roast served on toasted hoagie rolls with a side of savory au jus for dipping. A cozy, restaurant-style meal made easy in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 34 lb Beef Chuck Roast
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 Hoagie rolls
  • 612 slices Provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Sear the beef in a skillet with oil over high heat until browned on all sides.
  2. Place sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Put the seared beef on top of the vegetables.
  4. Mix beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then pour over the beef.
  5. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender.
  6. Toast hoagie rolls and fill with shredded beef and Provolone slices.
  7. Broil sandwiches for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Serve with the cooking liquid in small bowls for dipping.
