Description
Tender, slow-cooked beef roast served on toasted hoagie rolls with a side of savory au jus for dipping. A cozy, restaurant-style meal made easy in a slow cooker.

- 3–4 lb Beef Chuck Roast
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 Hoagie rolls
- 6–12 slices Provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
Instructions
- Sear the beef in a skillet with oil over high heat until browned on all sides.
- Place sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Put the seared beef on top of the vegetables.
- Mix beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then pour over the beef.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender.
- Toast hoagie rolls and fill with shredded beef and Provolone slices.
- Broil sandwiches for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Serve with the cooking liquid in small bowls for dipping.
