  • 1 medium onion, diced (about 1 cup)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: chop onion, carrots, celery, and mince garlic; rinse wild rice.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onions until translucent (3-4 minutes).
