Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices whole grain bread
- 1 cup leftover turkey (shredded or sliced)
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon butter (softened)
Instructions
- Preheat your panini press or skillet over medium heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil or butter to prevent sticking.
- Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each slice of bread. Layer turkey on one slice, followed by Swiss cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, mustard side down.
- Butter the outer sides of both bread slices evenly.
- Place the sandwich in the preheated panini press or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- If using a skillet, carefully flip halfway through cooking until the cheese melts and both sides are crispy (about another 2-3 minutes).
- Remove from heat, cool slightly, and slice in half before serving warm with your favorite dipping sauce or salad.
