This delicious sandwich features tender turkey, creamy Swiss cheese, and zesty Dijon mustard, all grilled to crispy perfection.   • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1 cup leftover turkey (shredded or sliced)
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter (softened)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your panini press or skillet over medium heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil or butter to prevent sticking.
  2. Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each slice of bread. Layer turkey on one slice, followed by Swiss cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, mustard side down.
  3. Butter the outer sides of both bread slices evenly.
  4. Place the sandwich in the preheated panini press or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. If using a skillet, carefully flip halfway through cooking until the cheese melts and both sides are crispy (about another 2-3 minutes).
  6. Remove from heat, cool slightly, and slice in half before serving warm with your favorite dipping sauce or salad.
