  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 cup provolone or mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper (any color), diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté diced onions and bell peppers until soft (about 5 minutes).
  3. Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet with vegetables; season with salt and pepper and cook until browned.
  4. Lower the heat and add cheese to the skillet; stir until melted.
  5. In a bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic and parsley; spread inside the hollowed-out Italian bread loaf.
  6. Fill the prepared loaf with the cheesy steak mixture. Wrap in foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until heated through. Unwrap and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes for a crispy finish before serving.
