Health Benefits of Happy Joe’s Taco Pizza Recipe

I came up with this recipe because I wanted to make a healthier version of the classic taco pizza. This recipe has significantly less fat than the original and is still just as tasty.

Also, making your own crust is easy to avoid all of the preservatives and other crap they pack into those frozen pizzas.  You also control how much oil, sugar, and salt go into your food.

Best 8 Serving Ideas for Happy Joe’s Taco Pizza Recipe

1. Turkey Taco Pizza:

Turkey is great for tacos and pizza. You can broil or grill it on the stovetop and mix it with your favorite toppings to make a tasty dinner.  Taco pizza is a great way to get protein and healthy fats from turkey in one fell swoop.

2. Mexican Taco Pizza:

This taco pizza version combines Mexico’s tastes with a crispy crust and a sauce made from tomatoes, peppers, onions, cumin, oregano, garlic, and chili powder. Their secret ingredient is a combination of mashed avocado and sour cream that gives their sauce the right consistency.

3. Greek Taco Pizza:

This is a great option if you’re watching your carb intake and are craving a delicious pizza that is lower in fat but still just as delicious. The greek yogurt combines with the feta cheese to make a tasty sauce for this Greek taco pizza recipe.

4. Crab-Filled Taco Pizza:

Of course, you can use any filling you want in your taco pizza. The only requirement is that it’s meat or seafood. You’ll need to substitute some of the flour for cornstarch if you’re using crab meat because it’s a bit drier than shrimp, ground beef, or ground chicken.

5. Shrimp Taco Pizza:

This taco pizza is a little lighter on carbs and higher in protein. The shrimp combines with the shredded cheese and sour cream to create a cheesy, buttery topping for your pizza crust. This recipe has lots of shrimp, so it’s very filling.

6. BBQ Chicken Taco Pizza:

BBQ chicken is also a great choice as the filling for a taco pizza because it has plenty of sodium with very little fat, so it’s an ideal meat substitute. You can get creative with the toppings too. Imagine a pizza topped with slices of grilled chicken and fresh vegetables smothered in BBQ sauce.

7. Mexican Shrimp Taco Pizza:

I love shrimp tacos, so I thought it would be great to try them on a pizza. You can fry the shrimp before mixing it into the crust or boil the shrimp in water to make a quick and easy taco pizza filling.

8. Buffalo Chicken Taco Pizza:

This is my favorite taco pizza on this list since it’s so colorful and flavorful. The buffalo sauce has a little heat to it, but not so much that I’m in pain after eating one of these.

Happy Joe’s taco pizza sauce?

This is such a great idea. I’ve always wanted to throw some taco ingredients on a pizza crust, but it’s hard to come up with a good recipe that doesn’t feel like you’re just eating meat and cheese on bread. This recipe is legit! I’ll have to try it soon!

Where can I buy Happy Joe’s taco sauce?

The best place is on Amazon. You can get a 24-pack of happy Joe’s taco sauce for under $10; each jar has about 4 servings. I normally eat a whole pot at once, but you don’t have to!

Taco pizza recipe without refried beans?

I’ve never been a big fan of refried beans. The one time I tried eating them on a pizza, I felt sick the entire day. It was like something in my stomach that didn’t belong there made me feel bad.

The Midwest has its pizza traditions and uses both cornmeal and wheat flour in its crust. However, California is known for its more traditional pizza styles that use the white dough, which looks like pie dough. So no, Taco Pizza isn’t a Midwestern thing, per se.

Why did Taco Bell cancel the Mexican Pizza?

Mexican Pizza is a favorite of mine, so I was sad to hear that some Taco Bell restaurants have stopped serving it. I’m not sure why they stopped, but I can guarantee that if people keep asking for it, they’ll bring Mexican pizza back!
