Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (110°F/43°C)
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about five minutes until frothy.
  2. Add all-purpose flour, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about ten minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for one hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough gently, shape it into a round loaf, and place it in a greased skillet.
  6. Cover again with a cloth and let it rise for another thirty minutes while preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Uncover the skillet and drizzle with olive oil before baking for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
