  • ¼ cup Caesar dressing (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry the romaine lettuce leaves, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
  2. If making homemade croutons, cube stale bread into small pieces, toss with olive oil and salt, and bake at 375°F (190°C) until golden brown (about 10-12 minutes).
  3. In a bowl, whisk together anchovies (if using), minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil for the dressing; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. In a large salad bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce with croutons and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with Caesar dressing.
