Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 8 oz spaghetti or penne
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup water or beef broth

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil, brown ground beef with onions, garlic, and bell pepper.
  2. Add tomatoes, paste, seasoning, salt, pepper; simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in water or broth, bring to a gentle boil, then stir in pasta.
  4. Simmer on low heat, covered, for 8–10 minutes until al dente.
  5. Sprinkle cheeses on top, cover 2 minutes to melt.
  6. Stir, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.
